About Us

Crystal Palace Gems & Minerals, Inc. was first established in 1993 as a retail store carrying natural mineral rocks, jewelry and accessories. It was also the first shop to specialize only in natural stones and minerals in Markham, Ontario. We uphold our principle of natural gems and minerals today, and will not sell gems or mineral specimens that are man-made, lab grown, or treated with artificial colours (note: heat-treating minerals to improve their colour is not considered an artificial process, but customers will be informed if the specimen has been heat-treated or not).

Our shop later expanded and began carrying larger mineral specimens such as geodes and fossils, as well as more sophisicated jewelry pieces. Our venture was generally well-recieved, and it was decided in 2005 to relocate the store to accomodate new products.

Currently, Crystal Palace Gems & Minerals attends tradeshows and exhibitions only, most notably the annual Canadian National Exhibition and the Toronto Gem Show.

Our show at the CNE aims to be interactive, allowing customers to come by and create their own jewelry using natural stone beads. Our gems and mineral specimens are mostly from Brazil, with some pieces from Uruguay, India, and fossils from Morocco.

This website was established in 2006 to provide customers with updates regarding our next show appearances, new product shipments, and detailed information on all the different types of minerals we carry. The website will also host an online shopping feature for customers in the near future. It is currently estimated to launch by the end of the 2010 year.
